Timeless by Michelle Madow Review

Timeless by Michelle Madow
★★★☆☆

IT'S A RACE AGAINST TIME.

In Remembrance, Lizzie and Drew changed the course of fate so they could be together.

In Vengeance, Chelsea set fate back on its original, deadly path.

Now, strange things keep happening to Lizzie. Things that are omens of darkness to come. A curse has doomed her to die an early death, just as she did in her past life. To make things worse, even if she can figure out who cast the curse, it's irreversible. There's only one option left for her to save herself. It's crazier than anything she's heard yet, and to do it, she'll need Drew and Chelsea's help.

Because to make things right, they must go back to when it all began … (Goodreads)

Lizzie and Drew were finally together, fate had been changed, and they had a second chance at love. They were ready for their happily ever after, but no such luck.  An evil curse was following Lizzie, which would change her newfound fate back to what happened in her past life… her dead. Lizzie knew that she was meant to be with Drew, but the universe didn’t seem to want that... or her ex-best-friend Chelsea. Lizzie, Drew, and Chelsea would have to team up in a race against time to fix the curse and stop Lizzie’s eminent death.

I was highly anticipating this book after reading Remembrance and Vengeance, and this was a nice conclusion to the series.  I didn’t find this one as enchanting as the first book, but I still enjoyed it and am glad we got to see what happened with Lizzie, Drew, and Chelsea. The book picked up more for me around the halfway mark.

This was an enchanting series, and I really enjoyed the interaction between the characters. It was a lovely young adult romance, and you can see the inspiration from Taylor Swift in it.

The author did a nice job tying up loose ends in the series, and I think readers can be content with how it ends. The author’s writing style reads smoothly, and I look forward to seeing what she writes next.

I would recommend this series to young adult readers that enjoy a fun, clean romance. It is also a great read for Taylor Swift fans.

I received Timeless from the author for review.

TGIF (10)

TGIF at GReads- This Feature is for Fridays to re-cap the week's post & to answer a question from GReads.

Question: Promote An Author: Is there a particular author you wish got more recognition? Pick one author & tell us why we should read their work.

Michelle Madow should get more recognition. She is a fantastic new author whose Debut novel was Remembrance which was followed up by the short story, Vengeance. The final book in the series, Timeless is expected to come out at the end of this year.

I read Remembrance  this past year and instantly fell in love with it. I love Taylor Swift and the music video Love Story which is what inspired Remembrance. I was able to see where her story was inspired by Taylor Swift and Love Story while she was also able to make it her own. The author created a beautiful story that I wanted more of well after I finished the book. I devoured this wonderful story in one sitting and couldn't wait to get my hands on the next installment.
The author is also super nice, I have talked to her through twitter and was lucky enough to participate in her title scavenger hunt for the title of the final book, Timeless by hosting a post with one of the letters on my blog. It was a lot of fun. I think Michelle is pretty great and I hope more people will  become aware of her books and read it.

You can win an e-book copy of her book from  my blog by clicking here.

You can also buy a copy from Barnes and Noble or Amazon. The e-book is on sale for $0.99 until April.

This voucher will ensure that you will receive an advance e-copy once they are available).

Letter: M

I’m supposed to write about what I hope will happen in the final book of the Transcended Time Saga. I’m honestly not too sure. I know I want more of Lizzie and Drew! I love them and I want them to work out and be together. Yes I know I’m a hopeless romantic. I would also like Lizzie and Chelsea to end up working things out. They had been best friends forever and it sucks that Drew and Lizzie’s relationship probably severed it forever. I also have a feeling they may not work it out and Chelsea is going to go all revenge crazy. I haven’t gone into detail of exactly what I want to happen I just want more time with the characters. I love the story and I can’t wait to see what Michelle Madow has in store next. Will true love have a second chance at happiness? It didn’t in the past but I’m hoping it will this time.

I loved Remembrance and Vengeance! If you haven’t read them I highly recommend them both! While Michelle Madow is on tour you can get the e-book copy for just $0.99! How awesome is that? I personally had to have the physical book because it is beautiful and such an awesome book.

Vengeance by Michelle Madow Review

Vengeance by Michelle Madow
★★★★

Vengeance is a short story that is the next installment in the Transcended Time Saga.

Chelsea had her heart broken by Drew, the guy she loved and her best friend, Lizzie. She desperately wanted Drew back but at the same time desired revenge. Since she had nothing to lose she made a new friendship with Shannon since Lizzie was her only close friend. Shannon’s aunt had told her that someone at her school would experience what Chelsea just did.  The aunt told her to bring that person to her. She told Chelsea that she had a past life. Chelsea thought she was crazy until she saw some of the images from the past in her head.  She wasn’t sure what to believe especially because of how crazy it sounded. Chelsea had to decide whether to believe what the aunt had told her and accept the help she had offered or seek revenge on her own.

I devoured this short story in one sitting. When I turned the last page, I couldn’t believe it was over. It left me wanting more. It was a great story but I hate that it was so short. That could be why I don’t read short stories very much because they are over too fast.

Michelle Madow had me enchanted again with her stunning story. Her words flowed beautifully on the pages, painting a vivid image of every scene. It gave me a feeling of being right there in the story.

I liked that she wrote this one in Chelsea’s point of view so you could see what she was feeling and how Drew being with Lizzie affected her. I enjoy seeing other perspectives and getting to know other important characters on a deeper level. I get to know the characters better that way, which also makes them seem more real.

I loved this short story and will be highly anticipating the next book in the series.

Remembrance by Michelle Madow Review

Remembrance by Michelle Madow
★★★★

Lizzie’s life changed as she knew it the moment she saw the new student Drew on the first day of school. She felt a connection with him like she knew him from somewhere but she couldn’t have. Lizzie’s best friend Chelsea took an interest in him and Lizzie was bothered by this. She couldn’t express her feelings because she didn’t understand them herself, not to mention she had a longtime boyfriend, Jeremy. Lizzie and Drew couldn’t fight fate for long before Lizzie had begun seeing flashes from their past lives. She realized they were connected deeper than she could have ever imagined; reincarnation.

This book had me completely entranced. I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Michelle Madow’s words flowed beautifully making it so I couldn’t put it down. It kept my interest from the very beginning and I love it when author’s can do that. There are some great books I have read but it takes at least one hundred pages before the book gets interesting and in that time I can get distracted. When the author completely has me from the very
beginning I absolutely love that!

I also thought it was really cool that the book was inspired by Taylor Swift’s music video, Love Story. The author saw this video and created the story behind it. That is just awesome. I think if Taylor Swift was to read this book she would be honored. Taylor Swift created a magical music video and Michelle Madow expanded that magic into a whole story.
