A Beautiful Evil by Kelly Keaton
Expected Release Date: February 21, 2012
A power she can’t deny. A destiny she’s determined to fight.

When Ari first arrived in the dilapidated city of New 2, all she wanted was to figure out who she was. But what she discovered was beyond her worst nightmare. Ari can already sense the evil growing inside her—a power the goddess Athena will stop at nothing to possess.

Desperate to hold on to her humanity and protect her loved ones, Ari must fight back. But Athena’s playing mind games, not just with Ari but with those she cares about most. And Athena has a very special plan for the brooding and sexy Sebastian.

TGIF (1)

TGIF at GReads - This feature is for Fridays to re-cap the week's posts & to answer a question from GReads.

Question: First & Last: What was the first book you read in 2011 and the last you finished in 2011? How do you feel about these books? Would you recommend them to other readers?

So for the first book I read in 2011 I'm not entirely sure. I wasn't using goodreads to track my reads then. I'm going to go with, Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton. I really enjoyed this book and it took me on a fun and surprising adventure. I would definitely recommend it to other readers!

The last book I read in 2011 was Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. I just finished it and I loved it. I really enjoyed the characters, they made me laugh a lot during the entire book. I highly recommend this book to fans of the Mortal Instrument series or just Young Adult book lovers.

Today I'm starting a Happy New Years and 100 Follower giveaway!

Darkness Becomes Her Review

Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton

I read the description of this book on the cover and thought it sounded interesting after someone recommended it to me.  I was very surprised when this story took me for an adventure that I did not expect at all. It caught me off guard in a good way.  I really can’t wait to find out what happens next in Keaton’s next installment.

When Ari searches for her past it brings her to New Orleans. This is another thing that surprised me and that I liked a lot. This New Orleans is very different then the reader would expect before reading this novel. I really like that Keaton took a different Spin on New Orleans and what happened post hurricane Katrina. Keaton brings you into a new exciting world. I enjoyed this world a lot and would recommend it to other readers.
