This book was flipping amazing! I devoured it in one day, going to sleep before I finished was not an option. I really wanted to share a teaser since I loved it so much even though I finished it a couple weeks ago. I got super busy and haven't been online much. This is a must read and I can't wait for the physical book to be re-released because I need to have it on my shelf!

I can't wait for this to come out, although I am very sad that it will be the last book. I really love this series and it will be hard to say goodbye to all of the characters I love. The ones I hate, not so much.

The Color of Snow by Brenda Stanley Blog Tour [Review]

Sophie was discovered to be the missing girl, Callidora, who had been kidnapped by her father when she was a baby. She had been discovered because her father shot her friend Damien, who only wanted to save her from her caged environment. Only Sophie had known that the cages were not to keep her in... but others out. It was believed that she was cursed and would bring harm to the people she loved. She had been sheltered for sixteen years and had not ventured from her property, and now, she was being thrust into the world with a family she had never known. Before long, she found out not everyone had her best interests in mind.

This story had a lot more depth to it than I expected. It was a fantastic read that made me really feel for the characters, even the father who kidnapped Sophie. This wasn’t a clear-cut kidnapping; there was a lot more to it, and most people did not understand.

I liked that the book had the father’s point of view from the past and Sophie telling the story in the present, while also referring to past events. I really liked getting to know both characters and getting a different understanding than I thought I would have when I started this book. I thought I would hate the kidnapper, but it wasn’t that simple. I also didn’t expect what was found out in the end, even though I should have figured it out with the clues in the book. There was foreshadowing, which was used well; I just didn’t think about it deeply enough. I liked that I didn’t figure it out, though, because it was more of a mystery that way.

The author had a wonderful use of language and created vivid images. I liked how easy it was to picture the scenes in my head, making the story even more enjoyable.

I have been anticipating the next book in the Kissed by an Angel series since I finished Evercrossed. It ended on a total cliff hanger. I just saw that it is finally up on goodreads with a release date. I'm so excited for this to come out. I will be getting this the day that it comes out. It is such a great series.

Lurlene McDaniel is my all time favorite author. I have read everything by her and own all of her books. I was really excited when I stumbled on this while looking through Net Galley. I had no idea that she had another book coming out. I was sad when I was denied to review this book, but I understand. I'm brand new at doing blog reviews.


I decided to choose this as my first book for Waiting on wednesday because I'm really excited about it and can't wait to read it. It will be a long wait but I will be buying it the day that it comes out.

I would like to say thank you to Net Galley and Harlequin for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Harper’s sister June committed suicide shocking everyone. No one had seen the signs or understood why she did it. Harper went into June’s room with her best friend Laney and found a postcard of California. June had wanted to go to California and go to College there but her mom dissuaded her from going saying she should take the free ride at the state college. Harper decided she wanted to go on a road trip to California for June and spread her ashes there. Laney was unsure of how they would pull it off but says she would go with her.  Harper discovered new things about her sister before she left leading her to Jake. He was a friend of her sister’s that didn’t fit her normal lifestyle. Jake demanded that he will go with them to California and he has a van to contribute giving Harper and Laney what they need to get there. Without a word of their plan shared with their parents they went on their road trip together.

Hannah Harrignton’s words are beautiful. She created a story that tugs at the reader’s heart. This book made me laugh and made me sad along the way. The characters felt like real people, as if I were in their story as it unfolds. I felt the tension between characters and them struggling with their emotions. The author really made the reader able to connect with the story. I would be interested in reading other books she comes out with in the future.

Another noteworthy thing in this book is the extensive amount of music that surrounds the story. She even had soundtracks listed in the end. I thought that was a really nice touch.
